Shells smash into UN's Gaza headquarters, three wounded

GAZA CITY :Three Israeli tank shells smashed into the United Nations headquarters in Gaza City on Thursday, wounding three UN workers, a spokesman for the agency said.

"Israeli tank shells fell inside the UNRWA complex in Gaza, injuring three of its employees," spokesman Adnan Abu Hasna told AFP.

One building was on fire, while other parts of the compound were damaged by shrapnel. UNRWA is the main agency for Palestinian refugees.
