Pak seeks world support for resumption of dialogue with India


ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said on Monday that global community should ask India to resume dialogue process with Pakistan.

He said this while giving a briefing to foreign envoys at the Foreign Ministry. Qureshi briefed the diplomats on post Mumbai situation and investigations being conducted by Pakistan in this regard. He said that probe into Mumbai attacks was in progress and that Pakistan was in contact with the Indian government so that perpetrators could be brought to justice.

Qureshi said Pakistan wants peace, however, in case of any ‘misadventure’ by India, Pakistan will be forced to retaliate.

Later, Rehman Malik, advisor to Prime Minister on Interior briefed the envoys about steps taken by Pakistan against outfits banned by United Nations (UN).
