Japan assures assistance in Pakistan uplift program

ISLAMABAD: Japan has assured Pakistan all out cooperation in its economic stability and development program.

Japanese Ambassador in Pakistan, Chihiro Atsumi, in a meeting with the Finance Advisor, Shaukat Tareen told this here. Economic cooperation between the two countries and other matters came under consideration in this meeting. The finance advisor apprised Japanese ambassador of the government financial policies and matters relating to IMF program. The finance advisor, thanking Japanese government for providing economic assistance of $480 million, hoped that the Japanese government would also persuade investors to invest in Pakistan industrial sector. Japanese ambassador on this occasion said that Japan would continue helping Pakistan in the economic and financial fields. He said that the finance advisor’s next month visit to Japan would further boost trade and economic ties between the two countries.
