ISLAMABAD: The Senate standing committee for sports has presented in the Senate a privilege motion against chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Ijaz Butt here on Thursday.
Chairman standing committee for sports Zafar Iqbal Chaudhry was among the five senators who submitted the privilege motion to the Senate.
The stance was adopted in the motion that Ijaz Butt has damaged the privilege of the people’s representatives by challenging the powers of the standing committee.
Meanwhile, Zafar Iqbal Chaudhry said that the next meeting of the committee would be called after February 18 on Ijaz Butt’s returning from the tour of India.
