PML-N to support if Zardari implements CoD: Nawaz

LONDON: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Mian Nawaz Sharif has said that President Asif Ali Zardari should not feel bad on PML-N’s demand regarding restoration of deposed judges.

Flanked by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Khawaja Asif at a news conference here, PML-N chief said that he is a well-wisher of President Zardari.

“We will continue to extend our full support President Zardari if he implements the charter of democracy (CoD),” he said.

PML-N only wants the implementation of CoD, he said, adding we don’t want to destabilize the government. To a question, PML-N leader said that he has no idea why President Zardari is unwilling to fulfill the promises he made with PML-N.

The former prime minister once again reiterated that his party would never back out from its demand of judges’ restoration.

So far, the government has not been able to bring the changes people had expected from them after the Feb 18 general elections. Whatever, PPP did on the name of judges’ restoration, PML-N was not consulted, he added.
